I'm reading Catching Fire, and I'm writing my NaNoWriMo novel this month, so I am not reading as much. So glad that challenge is over.
Interesting bit... I was apparently very influenced by Hunger Games, as the main character in my NaNo has some Katniss in her, and I didn't realize it until I started reading Catching Fire. Farmer hits some heavy topics in this book. Human clones, computer programmed humans and animals, drug bosses, kids in work camps brainwashed into servitude, it's all here. There isn't a character in this book who hasn't questioned or compromised the value of a human life. I was riveted. Farmer plays out consequences for things currently being debated in the public sphere.
