I had a hard time deciding to give this three or four stars. As usual, the story was slow to start and seemed repetitive. It seems like a lot of the story involved Zoey & gang sitting around discussing Kalona... At the same time nothing new is really presented or learned. I did like the new perspectives presented in each chapter, it added more depth to some of the characters. I must say, I thought Stevie Rae was pretty obnoxious in the story and I still don't understand why she didn't say anything to Zoey about the rogue red fledglings before because no one is really shocked by them. I'll be interested to see what happens with Zoey in the next book. ]]>
I actually like Kristen Stewart as Bella. I think she is a good actress, though her public image kind of annoys me. I enjoyed her work in "Speak" and think that she is very capable of playing the emotional and dark Bella written for the screen. I think if the screenwriters had really captured the Bella in the book, she might not have been able to balance the humor and darkness to Bella's character. ]]>
