This story is truly a modern day romance. I'm hesitant to say too much for fear of letting loose a spoiler. Our "hero", a mall security guard, catches our "heroine" shoplifting and their encounters and developing relationship is captured through his journal entries.
I couldn't stop reading, I just kept going until I finished their tale. Full of little surprises and twists - Dan kept me reading of this seemingly normal guy till there was nothing left to read.
Great job Dan, I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. ]]>

I agree Scott. Funny things we are - needing to categorize our lives, books, people, etc??? While sci-fi is my personal favorite genre, it can scare some readers off, thinking that they're about to read Star Wars or something.
Given your lead characters and the situation they're in, your book has a strong appeal to women I believe, which is one reason I also categorized it as women's fiction.
Any other commentators on what kind of genre Scott's book might fall into?
