The second book of Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series continues with the action set up in Wizards First Rule. I liked this book a lot better than the first mostly because there were not the same graphic torture scenes.
The action sequences play out like movies in your head thanks to the amazing writing of Goodkind. He is able to describe the scene down to the most minute detail.
Goodkind also expands a lot more on the history of the characters, including Adie, the Bone Lady, who is featured in the first novel, but isn't really explained.
Overall, a very good book. Again, I wouldn't recommend it for children or those opposed to graphic descriptions.
