"Lord help me. I'm not good with in-depth fantasy novels like this. Heck, Harry Potter is as in-depth I can go, just because I don't have the attention span for long series like this. I really love the TV series, but I even get confused sometimes keeping up with that. Oh well, here goes nothing.

I don't claim to be a hardcore GOT fan, so please don't yell at me."

Emma Louise is on page 94 of 459 of Fangirl: Like when I was reading Eleanor and Park, I'm super glad with the fact that I like the main characters straight away and there isn't that awkward "get to know everything about this character" chapter. It gets on with the plot and doesn't hold up describing each of the characters in detail. Loving it.

Okay, wow. I did not expect this to be as boring as it was. Please don't crucify me, but I hate Sex & The City, but really enjoyed The Carrie Diaries as a TV series (despite the melodrama and bad acting/directing. Kudos to the writers and produce...more

“You were just worried about me."
An exhale, relieved that I had understood. "Yeah"
I turned. "Because you think I'm worth it"
He put his fingers under my chin. "I absolutely think your worth it."
"But you don't think you are."
His mouth opened. Shut.
"That's what this is about, Derek. You won't let us worry about you because you don't think you're worth it. But I do. I absolutely do.”
Kelley Armstrong, The Reckoning

“I elbow my way through the mass of people to get to my locker because there's something immensely satisfying about the toughest part of my arm connecting with the softest part of everyone else. (page 3)”

“If you're frightened of damaging yourself, you increase the risk of doing just that. Consider the tightrope walker. Do you think he spares any thought for falling while he's walking the rope? No, he accepts the risk, and enjoys the thrill of braving the danger. If you spend your whole life being careful not to break anything, you'll get terribly bored, you know... I can't think of anything more fun than being impulsive.”
Mathias Malzieu, La Mécanique du cœur
