other than that:
this book is weird, because it's totally an escapist/beach read, except for lots and lots of scenes of CRAZY abuse. abuse of women, children, and animals. sexual and physical abuse.

but when people aren't being abused... there are crazy old ladies who like to sing about vaginas, pet pigs, a psychic, hot lawyer/ranchers, and perfect small towns. beach reading, right?

I mean, even though I loved it and wanted to live in the town, I was embarrassed for myself for loving it, because the entire book is a total cliché.(less) "
