I listened to this audiobook. It was long, and there were times where I thought I was at the end, but the story kept going. This was a really long story, and throughout most of it, I failed to connect with the main character and co-author, Gregg Mortenson. I understood why he did what he did, and I commend him on his tenacity and sacrifices, but I didn't feel the emotion that had to have motivated him to sacrifice so much. My heart broke for the Pakistani and Afghani people who's stories were highlighted throughout the novel and that was my main motivation for finishing this--to see if it did have some sort of a happy ending.
