This book is a LONG read, and the first half of the book can be as dry and dull as anything.
However the second half was wonderful and read more than twice as quickly. The ending was worth trudging through the novel.
I'd give this about 3.5 stars but rounded up for generosity's sake. I'm just glad I finally finished the darn thing.(less)

A frickin' CHORE to read. I continued on in hopes that the story would pay off, seeing as I liked the premise. Unfortunately, it really didn't.
Most of the story crossed the line from believable fiction to complete ridiculousness. (The dodgeball thing? Come ON. Really!? The sister's science fair project being generally approved of by the school? REALLY!?)
That said, I actually liked the ending, which came as a surprise to me. Normally I love his books and hate the endings, this was just the opposite.
Unless you have nothing better to read, I can't say I'd recommend this to anyone but diehard Chuck fans.
