This book was extremely interesting and dark, but towards the end it took such a sad turn! I don't think I'll be able to re-read this book anytime soon--it was very depressing. But it was depressing in a good way, if you know what I mean. ]]>

WOW. What can I say about this that will do it justice?? It's the greatest thing associated with Fables that I've ever read (though I haven't finished the main series yet). Kevin Thorn is out to unwrite the world... and his characters have to stop him. Could there be a better concept?? Ever??? I swear to God the parts with him in it were EXCELLENT, top-notch storytelling and deserve a hearty round of applause. I couldn't get enough of the Literals and Kevin Thorn. The scene in the park--I got the chills.
I loved the Genres and Writers Block!! It was such a wildly original and passionately interesting story that I couldn't get enough of. Plus, Fables once again has covers that are so amazing they make your heart stop for a second. The last one is my favorite cover of any issue of Fables I've seen.
If there was one thing that I could say bothered me, it was the fact that Bigby wasn't himself for more than half of the storyline. Personally, I find Bigby attractive and it annoyed me that he was an ape/pink elephant/little girl for six issues when he could've just changed himself back to his normal shape any time he wanted to. And I thought the shapes he was forced to take were too funny. I'd prefer it if he was suffering from something other than a bruised ego. But in the end he was still Bigby, so that made up for it. ]]>
