My position on legalizing marijuana is no secret, and I'm all for having civilized places to "medicate" oneself. I happen to suffer from a chronic nervous system disorder that causes a lot of pain, which is relieved when I take a hit ... ummm ... I mean ... errr ... I guess my pain would be relieved if I ever were to, ummm ... errr ...
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that, so long as the Supremacy Clause is alive and well (I can assure you it is), all these state and local attempts to get people "medicated" are for naught. The ones that work do so only because the feds choose not to enforce the law. ]]>

Sorry I've been so out of touch on GR the last month or so. Real life has just been way too "real" if you know what I mean. Then we got a nice break and spent eight days in Disneyland, then came home and the last week has still been too real. In fact, real life seems even more "real" (I didn't think it could get more real) when compared to the Magic Kingdom.
So anyway I hope to get back on GR soon and write reviews of recently-read material. Hope you and Richard are doing well! ]]>
