"Is it possible that Stephen King has released this book as research for his next project about a murderous book that bored people to death?"

"This was not one of King's better books but it wasn't bad. It took me four days to read it [and it wasn't one of his long ones] because it didn't hold my interest as well as most of what he has written. "

"Uncle Stevie is back! Like reading It, I just looked at the words on my Nook in horror. He sucks you in with a calm, but foreshadowing tone, then hits you in the head with a humungous cattle prod. I just hope I can get the vision of the vision out..." Read more of this review »

"I could not but this book down and now that I finished it I can't get it out of my head. This book is about love, life, death, addiction and obsession. I loved it. Great great stuff. "

“He had built his own future brick by brick around himself but there were no doors or windows, at least that was the way it seemed at the time he had thought to himself, I am locked in, it was like one of those ghost stories where you wake up and you are sealed in a coffin.”

The Queen of Ivins (Poetry)
1 chapters   —   updated Jan 20, 2010 12:05PM
Description: I wrote this poem when I was in 9th grade. My senior year, an edited version of the poem was published in the high school literary magazine (they took out the words "until the townspeople die" because it was too gruesome of a thought :-) I re-typed this based on the version published in the 1998 edition of "Canyons" by Snow Canyon High School. I've changed it minimally - if I find my drafts from 9th grade, I may change it some more. Background: I was raised in a small town in Southern Utah called Ivins - "Our Home Beneath The Big Red Mountain". You can learn more about the City of Ivins by visiting their new website www.ivins.com My grandparents moved to Ivins the day following their wedding in 1934 & most of my extended family has stayed pretty close to home. The city has been experiencing rapid growth for over three decades.
