With a degree in English you'd think that this book would've been part of my education. Oddly, tho, it was never a requirement in any class that I can recall.

This is truly an amazing book for so many reasons. Bradbury's writing is so incredibly descriptive and at the same time poetic. I hope that one day I can write somewhere near as well as this.

Fahrenheit 451 is also amazing because of the story it tells and the message it carries. Nearly 60 years after it was originally written, we are dangerously on the precipice of making the future of the F. 451 world a reality. We already live in a world where people spend more time watching t.v. than reading. We find more and more ways for ourselves to remove the need to interact with each other: drive in restaurants, pay at the pump gas stations, and interactive video games where animated computer sprites become so real that we forget to go out of doors and interact with the people playing them.

Everyone should read this book, once or twice or thrice. I hope that they will get as much out of it as I have...and possibly even more.
