Madeline and the Bad Hat by Ludwig Bemelmans

Some big words and allusions to using a guillotine on animals, but I think most of that went over my 4 year old's head. For her, its Madeline and that make it good. Rhymes are more contrived than in other books in the series.

Hard to make an appeal case sound interesting, but Grisham weaved lots of small story lines together to make a single plot line. I didn't like the ending, but the ending itself makes a good commentary on the system Grisham describes.
