Until now I have never been disappointed by Neil Gaiman and this book is no exception.

First, I was a bit surprised how easily Shadow accepted everything Wednesday asked him to do but thinking about it, it is quite understandable.

Touching - that's what this small book is mostly. Heartwarming, hopeful, hurting and sad are other words that came to my mind when reading this story about two lovers, an sculptor and a dancer, who both die of AIDS.

The way Roch, the sculptor, cares for his dying friend David shows a love, so true and tender, that makes the imminent death even more tragic.

The language is quite unique, the use of punctuation marks is very specific and clearly defines the rhythm of the language, giving it a very authentic feeling.

This was a good conclusion of the trilogy. Everything was brought to an acceptable end.

The romance came a bit sudden and the first hints (other novices finding Akkarin attractive) were unneccessary. But I can understand what brought them together.

The battles were well developed and described and the guerilla tactics were very well done.

The final chapter felt a bit rushed, especially Sonea's feelings deserved a bit more attention.
