Was I...


Was I too old to ride
a merry-go-round,
to sit then rise
high above ground?

A moment of doubt.
Do I need to choose a flying unicorn
or maybe a big pumpkin
as Cinderella, instead?
Oh, no, I can do much better.
I am not afraid to fly.

For only fifty cents I will buy
a piece of my missing childhood.

One day
I will pay this ride.
I will recline
and will not care
if wind blows up my skirt
and the world will see my white thighs,
because you will be there.

And will not care
if kids will giggle,
and will not care
if I will be a bit dizzy
when it stops and I land,
because you will be there
to catch me.

I never had a chance to find any valuable agent and always I had to communicate with publishers myself. It looks like that I've learned how to do it. It wasn't easy and the most important is - never give up. Some publishers will simply reject your manuscript just to show how serious they are. Try to send it them again, in a month or two, include some minor changes and they will be delighted!
Some will always accept whatever you sent them. So, it is not good to trust to this category of publishers. They work just for money, not for the quality.

It is not easy to find the proper matrix how to do all this things the right way. Nowadays everybody could publish anything... Rainbow under the lilac

Stop, stay there, don’t move.
I want to hold this picture,
a moment frozen for eternity -
you, with a hand in the air
close to the lilac branches
laden with the white bloom,
a wide smile on your lips
and eyes shining with love.
I will come close to you,
under its ethereal veil
to kiss you with unbridled passion
and with springtime’s zest.
I will share with you memories
from the garden and the land
where all colors were born
and people still believe
in dragons and unicorns.
Now, lower your hand,
hug me and watch the place
where our shadows land as one.
There, where they touch our feet
the rainbow was born.
