Hi Brenda--What a surprise!
It's great to hear from you---and in an unexpected way.

And, no sooner than I got your message, Bill Vanko told me about your post on DCRTV. How wonderful to read that. It's nice to know that so many years later, people think well of you and your work. It was expecilly nice to have my wife see it...we met long after my POC days.

And then, also within hours, I got emails from Gail and Danny...all because of you. And so, I must admit, you are the person who finally caused me to relent on a long standing aversion to Facebook. By last night I had signed up and put my mug on Facebook. Damn ya.

How radio has changed? What an understatement. It became such a vicious, venomous environment, I couldn't wait to get out. Yet,I look back at the time up until leaving WPOC as the best years of my career. But I'm so glad to be out of it now, I wake up every morning thankful I'm no longer in it. I see Bill Branch often, and although he's retired he still sees folks who are still in the biz and it never changes...its always the same nastiness. Everyone I know who used to be in the business says the same thing...the business became unbearable, and they're glad to be out of it.

Well, you're hangin' in there...and I hope prospering.

As for me? Well, Tanya and I split in 1990 but we stayed close and she passed away in 1995. I went to a 25th class reunion in NJ shortly after we split, and met a gal I hadn't seen since high school and we've been happily together ever since...finally made it official and got married last year. After 18 years we decided it was going to work out OK.

I'm completley out of the busienss, as I said...working for the NSA's credit union, which gives me time for writing (obviously), playing hockey, and travel to France whenever we can.

My kids...Tim married, divorced, living in Westminster with my two grandkids...Nick (16) and Corrina (8).

Casey is in Reno. She's REALLY PRETTY, single parent with my granddaughter Jordan (7) and she'd be thrilled to hear from you. If you like, here's her email address if you want to surprise her.

caseymarie1877@gmail.com

Hard to know how the book is doing...it's just released, it's a "small" book, with regional interest. Got a book signing in NJ scheduled for next month, but it's not being bookstore distributed, so only available online at the publisher website, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble sites.

Thanks for reaching out. Hope the Syndication works out. Watch your back--it's not a safe place for good people.

Potato Peel turned out to be a pleasant surprise...suggested to me by a guy on my hockey team, of all things. Meanwhile, karen is stacking up books that I "must read", right on top of my own stack. Not sure whats next, but I think her stack is going to win over mine.

Tom
