An exceptionally interesting look at the memoir throughout history. I usually think reading about reading can be dull, but this book is a fascinating catalog of notable memoirs, the lives that spawned them, and how recent scandals like the James Frey debacle have precedents going back centuries....the only problem with the book is that it has made me aware of too many fascinating books, to the point where I now have an extensive list of memoirs clogging my to-read list. ]]>
