I have read quite a few vampire novels in my time and I have plenty of favorites. However, this one definately tops Twilight, HoN, and maybe, just maybe, VA. The first half of the book I was expecting Lucas to be a vampire and then it turns around to where he isn't buy Bianca is! And then we come to find out that she new this but never really talked (or thought) about it. But wait, then Lucas is found to be a vampire hunter. Ahhhhh! I absolutely loved this book becuase there wasn't one moment when I wasn't surprised and usually I can predict books and their endings but not once in this book was I able to that.
