My sister asked me what this book was about, and though I was 3/4 through, I found I didn’t know. Though I was confused, I was also totally engaged. The last 1/4 of the book pulled everything together in a way I found both surprising and satisfying. The plot is hard to describe—apocalyptic war and its aftermath, with humor, friendship, love, loyalty, adventure—all the good stuff.
