Surprisingly, this series of books was supposed to be a network show, but was changed beyond Koontz's original plan... and was pulled by the author. So the book is a lil' gruesome with the piecing together of a couple of Herman Munsters, but overall, an ok read. Not my normal read BUT I am reading books 2 and 3 and am interested in where this business will end... after all, the original Frankenstein was pretty much wrapped up a long time ago, and in this version, the original monster has been reformed after a long stint in a monastery and is now helping to track down Frankenstein with two police detectives. ]]> <![CDATA[new comment from Melissa]]> http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/61454094 Sjackson's review of The Taking
