I have read this a long time ago when I was first starting to seriously write in my College creative writing class. My girlfriend at the time turned me on to her, she told me how you write and how you view the world and people reminds me of Anis. This book changed my life and how I viewed writing. I am just into the beginning again but the relationship that is cultivating between Anias and June, Anis and Henry is reminding me of similar love affairs that I had. It all hits very close to home.
I finally finished this morning, and now I am whimsical and slighlty meloncholy about it all. I realate too much and am now psychoanalysing myself, my past relationships, and my future outlook on love. I am sure I will add more to the review once my self discovery is done. Weirdly enough I write in journal fashion but change the names of my leading ladies even though every event has pretty much happened in my life. It helps me disassociate and take charge of the old tortures and bitter sweet memories.
