There is something about this book that is so forced. One of the characters is "Shithead"-- a monstrous pile of feces from some of the most terrifying humans to walk the earth (Ed Gein, Hitler, etc.). It just felt like a desperate attempt to shock the reader but I was WAY more annoyed than shocked. Every violent sequence, every racist comment, and everytime someone swore or talked about raping women, I rolled my eyes. Besides all of this, Gibson looks like Eminem which made the story even harder to take seriously. This book is why Goodreads.com should allow for negative star ratings. I give this book a -50 stars.
