Another book I really, really liked. My book club didn't share my enthusiasm however. It's what I think of as a quiet book, the reflections and memories of a man in his late 60's as he thinks back upon the most dramatic occurrences of his life. Other than those occurrences, he doesn't give that many details of his life. I didn't think it was necessary. Perhaps you have to be in your 60's or 70's to appreciate this book. It evokes the closing aspects of life, remembrances, acceptances.
