The world of writing is pure magic. To be able to capture thoughts (all the many millions of them, fluttering around like little bees) and polish them, stretch them, mold them into people, places and things, is just a phenomenon I've been obsessed with since I was 6 years old.
Aside from writing, I find great pleasure in the ocean, walking the surf regularly or just sitting having breakfast under the pavilion watching the waves roll end. I read as much as I can, trying to spread myself and finding new authors, genres, etc to indulge in. And if I'm not writing, reading, cycling, on the beach, working or asleep, I could be sitting at the kitchen table working on a cross-stitch or needlepoint.
