I wouldn't say that I don't date the "world" way because I want to avoid heartbreak, as that makes it sound like it is only for fear of pain that I make this choice. When really, seeking marriage is precisely that: risking pain (by offering trust) for the chance of finding the closest earthly relationship. The courtship path does have the side benefit of reducing the frequency of heartbreak since there is more willingness to break off before getting too attached and probably less potentially heartbreaking relationships. I don't quite qualify since I have posted, but not often (once or twice). I lurk, but not very well: reading maybe 1 in 3 of the email digests that come from this group. Today I just happened to read the one asking why I don't post.

I think the two main reasons I don't post are (1) I feel a tad out of place being a bit outside the age range of those in the group and (2) for the most part I avoid making frivolous posts in forums and so far haven't noticed a conversation I felt I could add any real value to.

Ultimately we want to get to the point that all we do and give and are is to His glory, but in the mean time 10% is such a convenient number ;).
