I'm afraid I wouldn't marry any of Austens' men, let alone some of the characters on this list. Col. Brandon is a sweet man, but he is still a Regency (Georgian?) Gentleman. His idea of marriage and mine would be too different.

That said, the first time I read S&S, I was rooting for him to be the one to mend Mariannes' broken heart. ]]>
