As with other reviews, I agree that this first book of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series was complicated to follow in the beginning, hard to put down in the middle, and not-what-I-expected/slow at the end. Specifically, Larsson's sharp narrative that kept me up late at nights turning the pages for a larger chunck of the book seemed to wane and I was relegated to reading correspondence between the characters via email. (I'm actually very curious if this was a publishing/editor choice, as Larsson passed away before seeing any of his three novels in print).
Regardless, I am already into the second book and I'm curious to see where Larsson will go with this tale featuring Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist again.
