This is the third and final book (at this point) in this series. I liked these books because they were a simple read with a simple plot, yet intriguing enough characters to make them interesting. To me these books are a quick read and I enjoy that because with a busy life I want to get it started and put it away. :) This book gave a nice twist to the characters near the end that I saw coming, but didn't occur quite the way I expected it to. I recommend this book to everyone! I think high school girls, particularly, should read this. There have always been "mean girls" in schools, but it seems to have become far mroe prevalent in recent years. I know this book did not center around mean girls per se, but the trickle effect was there. The thought that every action affects those around us without even knowing it. To me this is exactly the problem with high school age kids today, they don't get how their actions affect others for the long term. I enjoyed this book because it showed the true to life perspective on how one person't hateful ways can hurt someone so deeply without meaning to and how that can alter the course of their life forever. While high school wasn't quite this hard for me, there were times, and people, who made it harder. I am stronger for it, but it did affect my personality some in the years where I needed to be assertive and strong. My teenage daughter read this and recommended it to me and I am glad she has read it. She will most likely think more before she acts than she has in the past. For me, the main problem with this book was that I didn't really start to get invested in it until about page 100 or so. Then it was a slow and steady read. The end picked up and was a faster pace, which I much prefer. It was a suspenseful book, but there wasn't a lot of the edge of your seat kind of moments to it. That disappointed me a bit. But it was an overall good read. ]]>
