I enjoyed this book but that the Indonesia section was the weakest and took away from the rest of the book. The Italian section was not only amusing but was the most well-rounded section of the three for me.

I liked this book but having just finished "The Last Chinese Chef", this book was not really satisfying. I enjoyed the "preparing food like Julia Child" bits but thought it took too long for the author to get to the kitchen.
