I loved this book. I am a huge fan of Barbara Kingsolver but I usually avoid nonfiction. This book was a real eye opener yet charming as only Kingsolver can be. I learned something new on almost every page and was delighted by the antics she and her family went through as they tried to eat only what they grew or raised or came from within a 100 mile radius of their farm. It is a collaborative effort with her daughter sharing terrific recipes after each chapter, and her husband providing sidebars packed with amazing facts. This book was a real treat and I will be refering back to it for years. It should be required reading for every American. ]]>
