I was really looking forward to this book as I'm Bipolar and enjoy reading about other people's accounts of this illness. I was very disappointed. It was pretty boring and I felt that most of the time he just rambled on for the word count. My mom, who isn't a writer, could have wrote a better book about living with me. Fail.

I don't know why everyone seems surprised that this is a memoir about depression. Sure it's frustrating and she does seem whiny at times, but you know what? That's what it's truly like for a lot of people. I've been there before with the depression and suicide attempts and I found myself relating so much to her. I guess it's just hard for most people who haven't been so low to understand, and I pray that none of you ever have to personally deal with it.
