Its not technically teleportation but sort of is. There's stuff about dudes being pulled out of energy streams and turned into physical form, which is more or less the same thing. ]]>

I've got another fante book if you wanna borrow it by the way. It's his second or third best book IMO. ]]>
Just a stronger work of literature. It transcends its purely biographical roots to say something greater. Persepolis does this too but to a lesser extent.
Also the artwork far excels that of persepolis. Spiegelman reined in his finest artistry and opted for something rougher and simpler but incredibly effective. Satrapi on the other hand simply can't draw that well.
Incidentally i think the film of Persepolis works a lot better than the GN.
Oh yeah, and i thought fun home was awful too. Seemed like lots of clinical, psycho-analysis to fill out the absence of any worthwhile storyline or emotional content. ]]>
