I adored this book! Though it was pretty predictable for most of the book (it took a definite turn a little more than halfway through, which threw me-- good!), I thought it was terrific. It was a fun way to get to the know the inside of the women's magazine world (not the rags) and though it's obviously a fantasy, it still seemed real. I thought this book some time to get into it. I really loved the first chapter, which is why I bought it in the first place, but then it sort of fell flat. Luckily, it picked up again. Melissa's father is one of the meanest characters I've come across and he definitely got me seething. I thought the ending sort of stopped short, but I know there's a sequel so maybe that's why.
