This is the second book of Anne Lamott's fiction I've read and I think it's the last. While I've enjoyed her non-fiction her fiction just doesn't resonate for me. The charecters are flawed-not in the endearing way that make you root for them and want to see them develop-but in the annoying way where you end up feeling completely apathetic towards them. I got halfway through this one and debated if I should continue reading or not-the plot was slow and plodding and none of the characters was really interesting or likable.
