This adventurous book is an epic story of an underestimated species of animals. Not only does Watership Down create an interesting plotline, it illustrates a rabbit's lifestyle in a bit of an animated way. The reader cannot put the book down because they don't want to be torn away from the lovable characters of Fiver, Hazel, Bigwig and the others. The different burrows they meet along the way have very diverse ways of doing things, and there are predators along the way they must outsmart or outrun.
The stories of El-ahrairah are quite intriguing as well, and it is interesting how the rabbits learn from the stories and form master plans based on them. ]]>
