I would have to say the one I feel for the most has to be Aileen Wuornos. She tried so hard to make herself acceptable to society and not one person gave he a break. Then in the end she was turned in by the only person she ever loved. It's a really sad story all round.

In this book, Lincoln and Amelia travel away from New York and to North Carolina. They end up becoming embroiled in the disappearance of some local girls, and as always Rhyme and Sachs try to save the day.

The twists and turns in this one were amazing, the story is not too convoluted but utterly gripping and the shock twist at the end I did not see coming. This book far outstrips The Coffin Dancer, (book 2) which was a bit of a disappointment in the series, a definite must read for fans of the series but any crime/psychological thriller fan could read it too.

This novel felt like it was very simply written. I felt like anyone who has read a few crime novels or even seen Criminal Minds could have written this, it had no style whatsoever and in places where there could have been scope for some great shocks and twists and turns the situation was simply explained.

The storyline was good, and the characters too but this is owing to them being developed in the TV series, not to any skill on the author's part. Also, probably 25-30 full pages in total would be filled with descriptions of what the characters are wearing, which feels utterly repatitive and pointless, especially if you have seen the show as you will already have the image of the characters in your head. Some of the descriptions are cringeworthy, especially of the relationship between Garcia and Morgan.

Really one of the simplest books I've ever read, it was a very quick read and good as a fill-in between shows but not a good introduction to Criminal Minds and definitely not a literary masterpiece.
