I was a little afraid to read this book...after all, I had such high expectations after reading her first two series and I couldn't see how this book could live up to those.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised. While I was not quite as engrossed in this book as the "Kushiel's Legacy" series, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and had a hard time putting it down nonetheless.

Continuing in the world of Phedre and Joscelin, this time the characters are great-great grandchildren of the characters from the first two trilogies.

What I thought was great about this book was the fact that, while this book had a completely different (but still completely delicious!) flavor than the first two series, there were still enough ties to the original characters for me to feel instantly drawn in to the book and held tightly until the very last page.

I am anxiously anticipating reading the next book in this series!

All I can say is "Wow", I have found another favorite author and series of books.

This novel really sucked me in because of it's vivid, realistic characters and of course the sultry love scenes that are prominently featured throughout the book.

There is a great level of tension between the characters, and I think that this is something that makes a good romance novel great (and the reason that Twilight and many of these vampire love stories are so popular right now.) Often, the characters consist of some vampires and some humans, and this creates a delicate tightrope of tension in their relationships and interactions that this author has hightlighted in this book. The power in the characters in this book comes from these strking contrasts that the author makes.

The icing on the cake were the scenes where this contrast created little bits of comic relief in the level of tension.

At first, I thought that the characters and plot were a little cheesy, but I stuck with it and shortly after, I got sucked in and I am anxiously looking forward to more late nights while reading the rest of this delicious series.

This book was great. It gave an in depth description of the practices of a family of Native American medicine people, as well as a detailed account of important events that lead to the formation of AIM as well as a different perspective of the siege at Wounded Knee in 1973 than one would typically get from a history book. An enjoyable and informative read!

I enjoyed this book and found it actually quite hard to put down. When the whole population dies (except for a select few) it is like all of the traits in the human race, both both good and bad, are distilled down and made more potent, exposing them to the light of day.

This book, though it seems to have a little of what I call "dogma" or the implication that a person must follow a specific belief system for the healing methods to work, has a lot of practical, clear, straightforward advice about how to work with the chakras and the human energy field.

One of the things that I have really enjoyed about the book so far has been the scientific background behind the energy system. I believe in the enrgy field of the human body because I can feel it, but it makes the work that I do easier to explain to my clients when there is some science behind it.

I look forward to reading more and applying some of this in my massage practice!

Just like most other people that read this book, I absolutely fell in love with the world and it's characters. It took me into a fantasy world that I have not yet really managed to escape (somehow, I still feel like Edward and Bella are real and exist somewhere in this reality.)

It is a love story that is somewhat tragic and glorious at the same time, as Bella falls in love with the last person in the world that she should do that with. Beautiful characters that jump off the page, a must read!
