Toyi, throughout the annals of time, Black folk have always had enclaves where we established icons and iconoclastic influences that were ours to claim. P.G. County reminds me mightily of Sag Harbor (NY), Atlantic Beach (FL), Hilton Head (SC), Highland Beach (MD), and Idlewild (MI) -- all of which are/were resorts reminiscent of the aforementioned. It reminded me too, of the drama that usually is inherent where characters make for page-turning delight. What a great read!
