What's your feeling about hardcover dust jackets?

she voted for I like them A LOT, but don't need to remove them to preserve them, all my books are well preserved.
A Jane of All Reads is on page 64 of 318 of The Fault in Our Stars: So far I've dog-eared four pages. The bottom ones are for bits I want to reread and the ones on the top are for bits that have already made me bawl like a baby.

More of A Jane of All Reads's books…
Catherynne M. Valente
“It is well known that reading quickens the growth of a heart like nothing else.”
Catherynne M. Valente, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making

Maggie Stiefvater
“I say, 'I will not be your weakness, Sean Kendrick.'
Now he looks at me. He says, very softly, 'It's late for that, Puck.”
Maggie Stiefvater, The Scorpio Races

Sherman Alexie
“I used to think the world was broken down by tribes," I said. "By black and white. By Indian and white. But I know that isn't true. The world is only broken into two tribes: The people who are assholes and the people who are not." (176)”
Sherman Alexie, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Terry Pratchett
“I want a proper school, sir, to teach reading and writing, and most of all thinking, sir, so people can find out what they are good at, because someone doing what they really like is always an asset to any country, and too often people never find out until it is too late. There have been times, lately, when I dearly wished that I could change the past. Well, I can't, but I can change the present, so that when it becomes the past it will turn out to be a past worth having....Learning is about finding out who you are, what you are, where you are and what you are standing on and what you are good at and what's over the horizon and, well, everything. Its about finding the place where you fit. I found the place where I fit, and I would like everybody else to find theirs." - Tiffany Aching”
Terry Pratchett, I Shall Wear Midnight: A Story Of Discworld

Neil Gaiman
“We who make stories know that we tell lies for a living. But they are good lies that say true things, and we owe it to our readers to build them as best we can. Because somewhere out there is someone who needs that story. Someone who will grow up with a different landscape, who without that story will be a different person. And who with that story may have hope, or wisdom, or kindness, or comfort. And that is why we write.”
Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book
