<about>I am a freelance writer/researcher and reviewer. I live in Scotland but have travelled widely in pursuit of literary research. I love visiting different libraries and research archives. The Library of Congress was amazing.

I recently started a professional blog called The Editor's Notebook that is based around my online literary consultancy business - http://www.janettecurrieconsultancy.co.u...

For me, a good read is a book in which you lose all sense of place, time and self, one you become so deeply immersed in that the only world that exists is the one on the page.

Reading is a great pleasure. I probably have over 1000+ books on my shelves - academic, novels, poetry, guide books, gardening books, cookery books - so I'm not going to list them all (you'll be glad to know). Just use the space here to list favourite or unusual or lovely books to remind myself how much enjoyment books can bring.
</about>
