false21845422889866Nia Imani I’ve been writing for several years now. I guess you could say I’ve dabbled in a little of everything, including poems, short stories, plays and even a few books (the rough drafts).
Last year, I finally got up the courage to self-publish one of my plays called “Another Time, Another Place” (http://www.lulu.com/content/2341210) Writing is very personal to me, so doing this was a real challenge because I really had to step out of my comfort zone. But now I’m really happy that I did it. It was a great experience. I learned a lot. My friends were very supportive. I grew.
Now, I’ve written and published my first romance novel called, “Truly, Madly, Deeply” (http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-bo...). I put my heart and soul into writing this book and I’m pleased with the outcome. I hope very much that people will enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Besides writing, I’m also very involved in the arts in the community. I’ve been participating in the drama groups in Oldsmar for close to 7 years. Mainly, I’ve acted in plays, but I’ve also helped do a little writing, stage design and directing.
I’m currently a volunteer for Oldsmar’s Cultural Affairs Advisory Board. We’re a group of people who love the arts and are working to grow and support the arts in the community.
Well, that’s pretty much everything that’s going on in my creative life right now.
