<about>I am a former magazine/newspaper feature and travel writer recently converted to longform, to fiction, and to a more serious pursuit of my craft.

Not so long ago, I thought getting paid to mess about with words was pure bliss and enough. It is still pure bliss. It isn't quite enough. I want to see what my best novel, poem, and essay look like. I want to find out what I have to say.

I read omnivorously and have for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it feels as though I breathe, drink and eat language, standing on and clothed in the ideas and images that language allows us to give birth to. I suspect this is a little crazy, but it's good crazy and vastly entertaining. : )</about>
