I wanted to give this book 5 stars but the beginning of the book didn't catch as much as I wanted it to. I wish I could give a 4 1/2.

I was a little skeptic when I began reading Graceling. The fact that a young girl was a killer just sort of threw me off a bit. As I continued to read I was thinking, this girl is this young and talking this way?! Like I said I was skeptical.

As I continued to read I became enthralled. I didn't want to put the book down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Where the adventures were going to take Katsa and Po.

Half way through the book is where I thought it really picked up. Meeting new people on the way through the Kingdoms, learning about all of the different Graces you felt like you were there with Katsa.

The characters in the book were great. Their emotions were expressed so well you felt like you were there watching the story happen. From the excitement to the pure rage and frustration with the Grace of Katsa to her new found adoration for others and their Graces. The trust, deceiving, lies and the love were all just AMAZING to read.

All in all, I loved this book. I am looking forward to reading Fire and mostly to read Bitterblue, I know there is something up with that one and I can't wait to find out what it is.
