          <body><![CDATA[Of Mice and Men was a great book. I would recommend this book to anyone that they should read this book. At first I didn't want to read this book because of the title and most of the rating on the books were okay. Of Mice and Men had lots of things that were originated by John Steinbeck. The fantasy...<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/Of%20Mice%20and%20Men%20was%20a%20great%20book.%20I%20would%20recommend%20this%20book%20to%20anyone%20that%20they%20should%20read%20this%20book.%20At%20first%20I%20didn't%20want%20to%20read%20this%20book%20because%20of%20the%20title%20and%20most%20of%20the%20rating%20on%20the%20books%20were%20okay.%20Of%20Mice%20and%20Men%20had%20lots%20of%20things%20that%20were%20originated%20by%20John%20Steinbeck.%20The%20fantasy%20of%20having%20a%20big%20friendly%20giant%20man%20like%20Lennie.%20A%20big%20guy%20but%20he%20was%20as%20sweet%20as%20they%20come%20because%20he%20was%20mostly%20clueless%20of%20the%20things%20people%20said%20or%20did%20wrong%20to%20him.%20John%20Steinbeck's%20Of%20Mice%20and%20Men%20had%20a%20%20%20lot%20of%20great%20motifs%20in%20the%20book.%20Lennie%20kept%20getting%20into%20trouble%20and%20kept%20killing%20or%20harming%20everything%20and%20anyone%20that%20came%20into%20close%20contact%20with%20Lennie.%20The%20plot%20of%20the%20book%20Of%20Mice%20and%20Men%20was%20great.%20It%20showed%20how%20the%20American%20dream%20can%20be%20shattered%20in%20a%20matter%20of%20seconds.%20I%20loved%20this%20book%20Of%20Mice%20and%20Men.%20I%20the%20climax%20was%20at%20the%20end%20of%20the%20book%20because%20George%20had%20to%20get%20rid%20of%20this%20clueless%20monster.%20Wouldn't%20hurt%20a%20fly%20unless%20George%20told%20him%20too.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20big%20guy%20but%20sweet%20nature%20was%20originated%20by%20John%20Steinbeck.%20Harry%20Potter%20and%20order%20of%20the%20Phoenix%20has%20a%20giant%20that%20is%20related%20to%20Hagrid.%20The%20giant%20is%20very%20friendly%20unless%20Hagrid%20tells%20his%20giant%20brother%20to%20be%20mean%20to%20people%20and%20thats%20only%20when%20someone%20is%20a%20threat%20to%20Hagrid's%20brother.%20Lennie%20is%20the%20same%20way%20as%20Hagrid's%20giant%20brother.%20Lennie%20won't%20harm%20anyone%20unless%20George%20tells%20him%20and%20only%20if%20that%20person%20is%20a%20threat%20to%20them.%20The%20big%20friendly%20giant%20was%20another%20giant%20but%20seen%20as%20violent%20because%20he%20was%20big.%0D%0A%0D%0ALennie%20kept%20%0D%0A%0D%0A%0D%0A">more...</a>]]></body>

href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/Malik%20Cooper%0D%0AEnglish%20Period%203%0D%0ABanned%20Books%20Essay%0D%0A%0D%0ABooks%20that%20are%20banned%20from%20schools%20are%20books%20that%20are%20looked%20at%20by%20parents%20that%20complain%20about%20things%20that%20some%20of%20them%20have%20probably%20did.%20They%20are%20just%20too%20afraid%20to%20sit%20down%20with%20the%20child%20and%20talk%20to%20them%20about%20the%20different%20things%20in%20the%20world.%20So%20the%20child%20goes%20and%20gets%20books%20to%20read%20and%20learn%20on%20their%20own.%20If%20all%20the%20books%20get%20banned%20and%20we%20have%20parents%20afraid%20to%20sit%20down%20and%20talk%20about%20sex,%20drugs,%20and%20violence%20how%20will%20we%20learn%3F%20You%20can%20experience%20sex,%20drugs,%20and%20violence%20but%20all%20three%20can%20kill%20you.%20Lessons%20can%20be%20learned%20from%20the%20banned%20books%20but%20parents%20don%E2%80%99t%20want%20their%20children%20exposed%20to%20the%20content%20of%20these%20supposedly%20banned%20books.%20All%20the%20content%20in%20the%20banned%20books%20can%20be%20learned%20from.%20Maybe%20instead%20of%20banning%20the%20books%20maybe%20a%20reasonable%20age%20limit%20could%20be%20put%20on%20the%20books.%20I%20personally%20think%20the%20after%20the%20fifth%20grade%20you%20should%20be%20able%20to%20read%20any%20book%20you%20want%20no%20matter%20what%20the%20content%20of%20the%20book.%20If%20the%20world%20can%E2%80%99t%20be%20banned%20then%20books%20shouldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20banned.%0D%0A%0D%0AMost%20of%20the%20banned%20books%20taught%20us%20something%20that%20a%20lot%20of%20parents%20are%20afraid%20to%20talk%20about%20with%20their%20children%20about.%20A%20lot%20of%20the%20banned%20books%20have%20to%20deal%20with%20situations%20or%20experiences%20people%20go%20through%20everyday.%20With%20most%20of%20these%20banned%20books%20children%20can%20learn%20from%20the%20experiences%20like%20the%20book%20Go%20Ask%20Alice.%20That%20book%20could%20teach%20many%20young%20people%20about%20what%20can%20happen%20to%20your%20life%20if%20those%20same%20choices%20as%20Alice%20are%20made,%20but%20Alice%20mistakes%20could%20have%20all%20been%20avoided%20and%20reading%20this%20book%20can%20teach%20any%20how%20they%20could%20early%20before%20they%20are%20faced%20with%20these%20situations.%20Another%20book%20banned%20that%20should%20have%20not%20been%20was%20%E2%80%9CAnd%20still%20I%20Rise%E2%80%9D.%20A%20book%20not%20based%20on%20sexual%20or%20violent%20content%20but%20it%20was%20in%20favor%20of%20women%E2%80%99s%20rights%20and%20black%20people%20wrote%20it.%20%0D%0A%0D%0AA%20lot%20of%20books%20banned%20had%20sex,%20violence,%20drugs,%20and%20too%20much%20religion%20in%20the%20book.%20%20Sometimes%20people%20thought%20the%20book%20questioned%20the%20existence%20of%20God%20or%20they%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want%20a%20community%20to%20gain%20confidence%20because%20of%20that%20book.%20Content%20in%20all%20banned%20books%20must%20be%20accepted%20because%20whatever%20is%20in%20these%20books%20is%20nothing%20new%20to%20the%20world,%20so%20everything%20that%20happens%20in%20those%20books%20happens%20in%20the%20world%20we%20live%20in%20today.%20These%20books%20shouldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20banned%20because%20it%20teaches%20young%20people%20that%20the%20world%20is%20hard%20place%20and%20it%20isn%E2%80%99t%20paradise.%20Go%20Ask%20Alice%20was%20a%20true%20story%20with%20true%20events%20that%20happened%20to%20that%20girl%20that%E2%80%99s%20her%20fault%20and%20her%20decision%20but%20it%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20have%20to%20be%20anyone%20else%E2%80%99s.%20People%20make%20choices%20that%20will%20decide%20their%20future%20so%20the%20people%20who%20want%20books%20banned%20have%20to%20suck%20it%20up%20and%20live%20with%20the%20fact%20they%20can%E2%80%99t%20keep%20their%20little%20baby%20unexposed%20from%20this%20crazy%20world.%20If%20books%20with%20sex,%20drugs,%20and%20violence%20are%20banned%20then%20why%20don%E2%80%99t%20people%20fight%20to%20ban%20the%20world%3F%20No%20one%20seems%20to%20care%20about%20what%20happens%20to%20the%20world%20and%20the%20people%20of%20the%20world%20but%20they%20take%20a%20lot%20of%20time%20just%20to%20have%20these%20books%20banned.%0D%0A%0D%0AInstead%20of%20banning%20the%20books%20maybe%20a%20reasonable%20age%20limit%20should%20be%20put%20on%20the%20books%20in%20school%20if%20that%E2%80%99s%20more%20comfortable%20for%20parents.%20Elementary%20school%20won%E2%80%99t%20really%20matter%20because%20they%20don%E2%80%99t%20really%20understand,%20those%20little%20kids%20think%20they%20do%20but%20they%20don%E2%80%99t.%20Middle%20school%20is%20when%20I%20think%20any%20young%20male%20or%20female%20should%20be%20able%20to%20read%20whatever%20they%20want%20to%20read%20because%20they%20are%20growing%20and%20they%20need%20to%20know%20what%20goes%20on%20in%20the%20world%20and%20now%20is%20the%20time.%20After%20that%20schools%20should%20be%20able%20to%20put%20whatever%20they%20want%20in%20schools%20because%209th%20grade%20it%E2%80%99s%20ti Each child in the book had their own problem including Willy W...<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/Charlie%20and%20the%20Chocolate%20Factory%20was%20a%20very%20good%20book.%20I%20like%20the%20plot%20of%20the%20book%20because%20it%20taught%20the%20reader%20something.%20For%20everything%20thatis%20wrong%20there%20will%20be%20consequences.%20Another%20thing%20I%20liked%20about%20this%20book%20was%20they%20charaters.%20Each%20child%20in%20the%20book%20had%20their%20own%20problem%20including%20Willy%20Wonka.%20The%20last%20element%20of%20this%20book%20was%20the%20Fantastical%20elements%20in%20the%20book.%20Willy%20Wonka's%20factory%20was%20amazing%20enough.%20%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20book%20Charlie%20and%20the%20Chocolate%20Factory%20had%20a%20great%20plot.%20Willy%20Wonkawa%20searching%20for%20the%20right%20child%20to%20take%20over%20his%20factory.%20Each%20of%20the%20children%20had%20their%20own%20problem.%20The%20kids%20all%20got%20tempted%20by%20something%20that%20happened%20to%20be%20going%20on%20in%20his%20factory.%20All%20except%20Charlie%20fell%20to%20the%20temptation.%20Charlie%20was%20award%20Willy%20Wonka's%20factory.%0D%0A%0D%0ACharacters%20in%20the%20book%20were%20a%20great%20part%20of%20the%20boo%20especially%20the%20major%20characters%20who%20played%20big%20role%20sin%20Charlie's%20part%20in%20the%20book.%20Even%20though%20he%20was%20poor%20he%20was%20the%20most%20humble%20of%20all%20the%20kids.%20Augustus%20Gloop%20greedy%20and%20that%20resulted%20in%20him%20being%20the%20first%20one%20to%20lose.%20Violet%20a%20mean%20cocky%20girl%20who%20lost%20because%20she%20wouldn't%20stop%20chewing%20gum%20and%20as%20a%20result%20she%20turned%20into%20a%20blueberry.%20Rarooka%20a%20spoiled%20brat%20that%20went%20down%20the%20garbage%20shoot%20because%20she%20was%20a%20bad%20egg.%20Mike%20T.V.%20turned%20into%20a%20very%20little%20boy.%20Willy%20Wonka%20was%20just%20crazy.%0D%0A%0D%0AFantastical%20Elements%20in%20%20the%20book%20were%20awesome.%20Oompa%20Loompa's%20comind%20from%20Loompa%20Land.%20An%20edible%20factory%20a%20whole%20room%20where%20you%20can%20eat%20all%20the%20candy%20you%20want.%20All%20the%20problems%20with%20the%20kids%20and%20what%20they%20had%20to%20go%20through%20lie%20Violet%20turning%20into%20a%20blueberry%20and%20Rarooka%20going%20down%20the%20garbage%20shoot.%20These%20elements%20are%20what%20mad%20ethis%20book%20the%20best.%0D%0A%0D%0ACharlie%20and%20the%20Chocolate%20Factory%20was%20a%20great%20book.%20The%20plot%20was%20great,%20the%20character%20could%20make%20the%20reader%20evaluate%20how%20long%20would%20you%20last%20in%20his%20factory%20with%20so%20much%20good%20things%20in%20their.%20The%20fantastical%20elements%20made%20the%20book%20great.%20This%20was%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20books.">more...</a>]]></body>

          <body><![CDATA[The Outsiders was a good book that I liked a lot. This was another book chosen in class but it turned out  a very good book. The elements of this book that I liked was that it was a story inside a story. The main character was telling the story in the beginning first telling about all of his friends...<a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/The%20Outsiders%20was%20a%20good%20book%20that%20I%20liked%20a%20lot.%20This%20was%20another%20book%20chosen%20in%20class%20but%20it%20turned%20out%20%20a%20very%20good%20book.%20The%20elements%20of%20this%20book%20that%20I%20liked%20was%20that%20it%20was%20a%20story%20inside%20a%20story.%20The%20main%20character%20was%20telling%20the%20story%20in%20the%20beginning%20first%20telling%20about%20all%20of%20his%20friends%20and%20their%20group%20called%20the%20greasers%20not%20a%20gang%20just%20a%20bunch%20of%20friends.%20Another%20element%20of%20the%20book%20I%20liked%20was%20the%20violence%20the%20last%20element%20I%20liked%20was%20the%20death%20in%20the%20story.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20Outsiders%20was%20a%20story%20inside%20the%20story.%20Ponyboy%20Curtis%20the%20main%20charater%20of%20was%20telling%20the%20story%20of%20his%20life%20at%20the%20time.%20He%20started%20%20talking%20about%20his%20brothers%20since%20his%20parents%20died.%20Ponyboy%20was%20telling%20the%20story%20while%20he%20was%20in%20the%20story%20himself.%0D%0A%0D%0AViolence%20another%20element%20in%20the%20book%20the%20Outsiders.%20Ponyboy%20and%20his%20group%20of%20greasers%20along%20with%20his%20older%20brothers%20are%20the%20lower-class%20and%20their%20rivals%20the%20Socs%20or%20Socials%20are%20their%20rivals,%20the%20upper-class%20kids%20from%20the%20west%20side%20of%20town.%20Ponyboy%20and%20his%20best%20friend%20Johnny%20Cade%20get%20attacked%20by%20some%20Socs%20because%20Ponyboy%20was%20talking%20to%20Soc%20boy%20Bob's%20girlfriend%20who%20was%20also%20a%20Soc.%20The%20Soc%20Bob%20gets%20killed%20in%20the%20fight%20because%20Johnny%20stabbed%20him%20because%20they%20were%20holding%20Ponyboy's%20head%20under%20water.%20Ponyboy%20didn't%20really%20seem%20to%20care%20to%20much%20he%20called%20the%20Socs%20%22WhITE%20TRASH%20with%20MADRAS.%22%20Dally%20a%20hardened%20street%20hoodlum%20with%20a%20long%20criminal%20record%20gives%20Ponyboy%20and%20Johnny%20a%20gun%20for%20protection%20from%20anymore%20Soc%20s%20that%20came%20at%20them.%20Ponyboy%20and%20Johnny%20took%20the%20gun.%20They%20were%20trying%20to%20prevnt%20trouble%20but%20if%20trouble%20came%20to%20them%20they%20would%20be%20the%20trouble%20because%20they%20had%20the%20gun.%0D%0A%0D%0ADeath%20was%20all%20through%20the%20book%20and%20I%20liked%20that%20about%20this%20book.%20Johnny%20and%20Ponyboy%20soon%20after%20they%20got%20the%20gun%20from%20Dally%20they%20saw%20a%20burning%20house.%20Pony%20was%20to%20much%20of%20a%20pumk%20to%20go%20in%20to%20see%20if%20people%20were%20inside,%20but%20Johnny%20goes%20and%20saves%20someones%20life%20but%20gets%20burned%20very%20badly%20and%20soon%20after%20dies.%20The%20fire%20wounds%20wre%20too%20much%20for%20the%20doctors%20too%20handle%20and%20he%20died.%20Dally%20was%20very%20close%20too%20Johnny%20and%20so%20when%20Johnny%20died%20Dally%20snapped%20he%20went%20otu%20and%20robbed%20a%20stor%20and%20ran%20afterwards%20but%20the%20cops%20found%20him%20wandering%20the%20streets%20Dally%20pulled%20out%20his%20gun%20an%20dthe%20cops%20opened%20fire%20on%20him.%20Dally,%20Johnny,%20and%20Bob%20all%20died%20in%20this%20book.%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20Outsiders%20was%20a%20good%20book%20that%20I%20would%20recomend%20anyone%20to%20read%20it.%20The%20elements%20of%20this%20book%20are%20great%20especially%20if%20you%20like%20violence%20and%20to%20read%20a%20story%20inside%20a%20story%20is%20great%20because%20it%20through%20the%20%20eyes%20who'seen%20everything%20as%20it%20happened,%20Ponyboy%20Curtis.">more...</a>]]></body>
