          <body><![CDATA[hello, shel. i haven't read eggers in quite a while, but i would certainly suggest &quot;a heartbreaking work of staggering genius.&quot; after reading it i looked for more of his stuff and ended up with &quot;you shall know our velocity,&quot; but by the time i got about fifty pages in, i felt like i'd had enough of him. <br/><br/>that said, &quot;a heartbreaking work...&quot; is a very funny, very good book that i would suggest to anyone. i just don't think i would suggest anything further by him.  <br/><br/>certainly, as mentioned above in this thread, there's david foster wallace. his &quot;infinite jest&quot; is incredible. i would say he and richard powers are the two strong writers from the group. it's a horrible shame that we lost him last summer. ]]></body>

          <body><![CDATA[hello ruthie. how's everything out your way? things are alright here. still with the school and all. i'm starting law school in january. cooley's going to take me with an associate degree. so i switched my major from computers to criminal justice. this allowed for all of my prior credits to count towards the degree, so i'm like 26 credits away. i'll graduate in the fall, then start at cooley in jan. <br/><br/>oh, by the by. i'm also helping the u. of m. law school sue the mdoc.
