The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler
"Three stars because it was a pretty interesting read, and she covers, well, all of human history.

I read it because I know a number of people who claim this book fundamentally shaped their worldview (and a number of others who don't make that claim..." Read more of this review »

Well, I don't really have this boxed set, but of course I've read all the books.

I get more out of them with each re-reading. Tolkien would be one of those guys who, if I could invite any 3 people to have dinner with, would get a seat at the table.

A fun little fantasy novel from the Master. I love all his stuff and this was no different. Clever premise about a watch that stops time. If they didn't make this into a movie, they should.

Probably my favorite King novel. I read it once a longer time ago and then I got the "extended version" and plowed through again. One thing I didn't notice the first time around (young unwary writer that I was) was his successful use of Omni POV. He ...more
