Do you think Ruma, in the title story fell into the same pattern as her mother? Or has she broken the mold she was brought up in? What do you think lies ahead for Ruma and her Family? Will her dad be a significant part of her family? "

I think Ruma's biggest challenge was to not be like her mother (not too different from reality, is it?) Although she does try and conform. Since you've just started the book, let's discuss it once you're done. I wouldn't want to influence the way you read it! But I do think that the conflict Lahiri paints about the father's character, first demanding then not - accepting at times - loving and distant, is well portrayed.

I get pretty put off when I see ads and sponsored links in the body of the blog, way before the posts even begin. With so many free and great templates available out there today, that incorporate ads in a visually appealing way, there is no excuse left for being lazy about ad placement.

I support advertising on blogs whole heartedly because a blog is not just a platform for journals or self expressions anymore. It's a powerful tool to spread awareness, share thoughts with like minded people and debate with those who don't. And like everything, some money to support it is always nice.
