Sun, 06 Sep 2009 02:17:25 -0700 he does indeed address things from an empirical standpoint. Hence it being semi hefty book, with chapters on each of the major conspiracy theories from The Protocols of the Elders of Zion right up to Kelly and the Butler report.
but he also considers the way in which conspiracy theorists adapt and change their claims based around the way in which a specific piece of evidence quoted to support their claim is shown to not stand up.
it all comes down to occams razor and in the absence of evidence that for instance someone made Diana leave her seat belt off, and let her bodyguard put his on, you can't really build a whole theory to say that she was murdered. and do on.
great book. we went to a talk by him at the edinburgh book festival. and saw him again onteh train on the way home, first name terms now,
