Dark Rooms by Lili Anolik
"Don't make my mistake and be seduced by the well-written synopsis. It's about the only thing that's well-written about this book. DR is poorly written. Not only does it use up every gender/socioeconomic status/sexual orientation/addiction/grief co..." Read more of this review »

"Well, thank god that's over.

I've read more than my share of one and two star books lately, so I really wanted to like this. Actually, I thought it was going to be amazing. But it was just awful.

Whose bright idea was it to compare this book not onl..." Read more of this review »

Just was not creepy enough. Also, did not hold together and in all honesty I was not impressed with any of the characters other than the mom. She was down right creepy and sick!

Loved this! It was sick and twisted and had a great plot. The mystery is solved very early on but the book does a great job of showing and investigation and the mind state of the criminals. Can't wait for the next one.

I don't know why these books work for me, it is just like the magic in the book! If I start to explain it to you, you will roll your eyes and say it sound like a teen book. It is not! I have read them all in one setting. LOVE!

The Boston Girl by Anita Diamant
"This is one of those rare novels that if 'life hadn't gotten in the way' I could have read in one sitting. It was like pulling a warm blanket out of the drier and wrapping it around you... I LOVED the first person telling of the story and felt lik..." Read more of this review »

I liked this but felt it went on a little too long. I had also hoped the rapist would have been a little more of surprise. Very well written and I liked the characters a lot!

Great book tha makes me wish I was Jewish! It had the feel of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and I loved that the main character was speaking to her granddaughter. This went very quickly for me and I enjoyed every minute of it.
