I hate to admit this, because I really loved Lucky Man and Michael J. Fox in general, but I really struggled with the first half of this book. It just wasn't very interesting to me so I became frustrated. I don't know if I was being unfair, but it seemed the first half was disjointed, like he was having a hard time finding is focus. However, once he began talking about the Rush Limbaugh affair and his involvement in the last two elections, it seems he relaxed and just told his story. I did continue to feel he was meandering from one thing to the next, but Michael J. Fox is just so likable and an easy, conversational writer that I enjoyed my time with the book anyway. Well, at least the second half... I remind myself that it took a couple of chapters to get into Lucky Man, too, but both books were well worth my time. The tales told obviously just scratch the surface of all his reasons for continued optimism and happiness in the face of debilitating disease.
